Established in 1992, Mossburn bottles a range of single vintage whiskies from other various distilleries, most of which are sourced from around Scotland. One of the two most common whiskies from Mossburn, their Blended Malt Speyside comes from their Signature Cask Series. The cask bill is a blend of single malts from Speyside, and no grain whisky. They are first aged in 200L ex-bourbon casks and then finished in 500-liter oloroso sherry casks with heavily-charred virgin American oak heads. The aromas are beautifully reminiscent of Speyside, with notes of toasted oak, cereal, and hints of sherry. The palate is gentle and mild, with notes of stone fruits and raisins blending seamlessly into sherry flavor. The finish is long and lingers with notes of nougat, raisin, and hints of baking spices before fading away. Enjoy this whisky neat or on the rocks!
