Migration Pinot Noir, crafted by Migration under The Duckhorn Portfolio, showcases the brand’s focus on elegant, cool-climate wines. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this wine highlights the grape’s delicate nature and its ability to express the unique character of the Sonoma Coast AVA. This coastal region benefits from persistent fog and cool ocean breezes, which help create vibrant acidity and bright, high-toned fruit.
The vineyards often sit on Goldridge sandy loam soils, giving the wine added finesse and structure. In the glass, you’ll find expressive red fruit notes such as cherry, raspberry, cranberry, and strawberry, complemented by hints of cedar, vanilla, forest floor, orange peel, and warm baking spices. Medium-bodied with soft tannins and balanced acidity, it feels refined yet refreshing.
Aged in French oak for added depth and smoothness, the wine is produced using small-lot fermentation and cold soaking to capture pure fruit character. Frequently earning 90+ point ratings from top critics, this Pinot Noir is known for its poise and consistency. It pairs beautifully with dishes like duck, salmon, roasted chicken, or mushroom entrées. With an ABV around 14.1%–14.2%, it is best enjoyed slightly cool, ideally after a brief decant.
