Description

This is one of Michter's most limited releases. Each bottle comes from a single barrel, aged over 10 years.

Rye was America's first whiskey style. Michter's, first known as Shenk's, calls itself America's first whiskey company. The rye left the market for nearly three years. Master Distiller Willie Pratt approved its return in April 2014.

It ages in charred new oak and is bottled at 92.8 proof. You'll taste vanilla, toffee, toasted almonds and cinnamon, then pepper and orange.

F. Paul Pacult's Spirit Journal gave it five stars.
