Meiyo Single Grain Japanese Whisky 17 Year is a distinctive Japanese spirit produced at the Kumesen Distillery in Okinawa, crafted from rice and inspired by the region’s traditional awamori distillation methods. The whisky is aged for 17 years in ex-bourbon oak barrels, allowing it to develop a rich amber color and complex flavor profile while maintaining the unique character of rice-based whisky. The aroma opens with warm notes of cinnamon, vanilla, molasses, and charred oak, creating a deep and inviting bouquet. On the palate, it delivers a thick and oily texture with flavors of pecan pie, baking spices, toffee, stewed fruit, and subtle licorice sweetness. The finish is long, smooth, and nutty, leaving lingering hints of oak and spice that highlight its extended aging and distinctive Japanese craftsmanship.
