Kathryn Hall Cabernet is the top Napa Valley wine from HALL. Most of the fruit comes from the Sacrashe Vineyard above Rutherford.

The nose brings cassis, black cherry and blackberry. Cedar and dark chocolate follow. Wine Advocate also found candied violets in the 2018 vintage.

The palate is lush and round, with plum, licorice and cocoa. Velvety tannins carry a long cedar finish.

Decant it for an hour and pour it with steak or lamb. You can also cellar it for years.
