Jack Daniel's Master Distiller No. 6 is a limited bottle from the Master Distiller Series. Released in 2017, it honors Jimmy Bedford, Master Distiller from 1988 to 2008. Like Jack Daniel, he was a farmer and a whiskey maker.

The whiskey follows the classic Jack Daniel's method. It drips through sugar maple charcoal, then ages in new charred oak. Iron-free cave spring water goes into every batch. It is bottled at 43%.

On the nose you find soft ripe fruit, a hint of green apple peel and warm toasted oak. The palate brings caramel, vanilla and brown sugar over toasted oak. The finish is smooth, with gentle spice and warm brown sugar.

Pour it neat or over ice, next to barbecue or dark chocolate. Collectors will want it beside the other numbered bottles.
