Jack Daniel's Bonded Rye is a Tennessee rye made under the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. That means it comes from one distiller in one distilling season. It aged at least four years in a government-bonded warehouse and was bottled at 100 proof, or 50% ABV. It is the first rye from the distillery to carry the bonded label.

Its grain recipe runs 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley. Like the rest of the range, it is charcoal mellowed before it goes into the barrel. It then rests in new, handmade American white oak barrels. The bottle shape nods to the 1895 Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey bottle.
