Description

Hinch draws its inspiration from the distilling traditions and skills passed through a rich history of Gaelic peoples traveling across the Irish Sea. The name Hinch itself is derived from the Gaelic word “Ballynahinch” meaning “town of the island”. Situated in the rolling green hills of County Down, Hinch distillery carries on the rich history of the former seven Irish whiskey distilleries from 18th to the early 20th century. With extraordinary and highly creative ambitions, Hinch aims to craft bold, smooth, and distinctively characterized whiskies while carrying on the tradition. Hinch Peated Single Malt is triple distilled and heavily peated to create a smooth single malt while maintaining its complex peat flavors. This light gold single malt has smoky, wood and sweet notes on the nose. The palate is bold with intense peat smoke and fruity undertones which shine through. The finish is strong, beginning with a note of liquorice and finishing into a mellow peatiness.
