Highland Park Odin 16 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a prized limited edition. It is the fourth and final release in Highland Park's Valhalla Collection. It is named after Odin, the chief god in Norse mythology. Only about 17,000 bottles were released, in 2015. The whisky aged for 16 years in first-fill sherry casks and refill hogsheads (large oak barrels). It shows the distillery's classic mix of rich sweetness and gentle peat smoke.

On the palate, heather honey and dried fruit meet dark chocolate. Warming spices like cinnamon add depth. Toasted oak and peat smoke bring balance. The texture is rich, full-bodied and powerful. The many layers make it very complex.
