Highland Park 21 Year Old is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky made only from malted barley at one distillery and aged in oak casks for at least three years. The youngest whisky in each bottle is 21 years old, showing its long and careful maturation. It is crafted at the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall, on the Orkney Islands of Scotland, part of the Islands whisky region. Its gentle smoky flavor comes from local Orkney peat, which naturally contains heather, giving it a unique and subtle aroma.
The whisky is matured in a mix of sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, and sometimes in refill or ex-Rioja casks, depending on the release. This creates a well-balanced flavor with notes of sweet honey, dried fruits, vanilla, dark chocolate, and soft smoky peat. Each release is bottled at 46% ABV, offering a rich, full-bodied taste.
