Green River Full Proof Wheated Bourbon comes from Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro, Kentucky. The distillery dates to 1885 and was revived in 2022.

The mash bill is 70% corn, 21% wheat and 9% malted barley. Wheat replaces rye, which keeps it soft. Barrels aged five to seven years go in, at full proof.

Expect rich caramel and bright tangerine. Warm cinnamon and vanilla crème follow, then a soft wheat finish.

Proof runs from about 109 to 116 by batch. Add water or a big ice cube to taste. Try it with smoked ribs or pecan pie.
