Grand Mayan Ultra Aged Tequila is dark in color with the sweet aroma of nuts and a distinctive scent. The taste is extraordinary, very smooth and pleasurable to the palate. Tequila Extra Anejo (ultra aged) A new classification added in the summer of 2006, labeling any Tequila aged more than 3 years, an "Ultra Aged", and is so rich that it becomes difficult to distinguish it from other quality aged spirits. Grand Mayan Ultra-Aged Añejo Tequila is categorized as an Anejo. Type is determined by age, and this spirit is aged for 36 months. Generally, Añejo ("aged" or "vintage") tequilas are aged from one to three years in small oak barrels. This aging darkens the spirit to an amber color and creates a smoother more complex flavor. Grand Mayan Tequila Extra Añejo is ultra aged Tequila made with the purest Blue Agave and highest standards of production, and bottled in a hand-painted talavera bottle. Grand Mayan Tequila is part of ancient history and a symbol of the deepest traditions. COLOR: Mahogany, dark. AROMA: Sweet aroma of nuts. TASTE: Smooth and sweet.
