Description

Goza Tequila Blanco is an unaged tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave. It comes from Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave grows for about nine years before harvest. The spirit is double distilled and bottled with no barrel time. That lets the pure agave flavor lead.

Goza started as an Atlanta brand, founded by Jacob Gluck. He wanted to take the fear out of buying tequila. In 2023, whiskey makers Dave Schmier and Paul Hletko bought the brand. Production stays in Jalisco.

Raise the glass and cooked agave comes first, with soft vanilla and a light floral lift. On the palate, sweet agave leads the way. Fresh fruit follows, with pear, green apple and a touch of grapefruit. The finish is smooth and slightly sweet, so it goes down easily.
