This Overproof Dark Rum is one of the strongest rums available, boasting an impressive 151 proof (75.5% ABV). Crafted by Gosling Brothers Ltd., Bermuda’s oldest company founded in 1806, it is a powerful version of their well-known Black Seal Rum. The rum is blended and aged in Bermuda while distillation takes place in selected Caribbean distilleries, ensuring a rich and authentic island character.

It has a deep dark amber to black color, often enhanced with caramel coloring, and offers a rich, complex flavor with notes of molasses, caramel, dark chocolate, spices such as cinnamon and cardamom, and a hint of vanilla. Despite its high alcohol content, it remains smooth and well-balanced, delivering bold flavors that soften the intensity of the spirit.

This rum has earned recognition worldwide, including a Platinum Medal in the Overproof Category at the International Rum Festival. Due to its strength, it is best enjoyed in flaming drinks or strong cocktails such as Zombies or Rum & Coke rather than consumed straight.

Sold in a 750mL bottle, it is made from a blend of aged rums (3–6 years old) and is part of the Gosling’s rum collection, which also includes Black Seal, Gold Seal, and Family Reserve Old Rum.
