                The Glenmorangie Signet is crafted at the Glenmorangie Distillery in the Highlands of Scotland, where tradition meets innovation. It is made using a special ingredient called Chocolate Malted Barley, a roasted barley usually used for brewing dark beers like stouts and porters. This unique spirit is distilled only once a year during “Signet Week,” making it truly rare. The whisky combines some of Glenmorangie’s oldest and rarest whiskies, some aged over 30 years, with the rich chocolate malt spirit. Although it carries no age statement (NAS), it includes some very mature whiskies that add exceptional depth and character.
Created by Dr. Bill Lumsden, Signet was inspired by the bold and rich flavors of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. It is distilled in Scotland’s tallest stills, giving it a smooth, fruity base, and aged in a mix of new charred American oak, ex-bourbon, and Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it delivers a luxurious flavor of mocha, dark chocolate, espresso, and tiramisu, balanced by notes of dark fruits, spice, and orange zest. The finish is long, smooth, and warming, leaving hints of cocoa and spice. Named after the Celtic “Signet” symbol, it represents Glenmorangie’s artistry and stands as one of its most premium whiskies.
