Description

The Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or is a beautifully crafted Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Highland region of Scotland. It is usually bottled as a 12-Year-Old, though some older or non-age statement versions can also be found. The whisky is first aged for at least 10 years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, which give it a smooth and mellow base. It is then finished for about two more years in French wine casks from Sauternes, Bordeaux, adding layers of sweetness and complexity. These special barrels create a rich, dessert-like flavor that balances both sweetness and dryness perfectly.

Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, it keeps its natural oils for a soft, full-bodied texture. The aroma offers notes of lime, orange zest, sultanas, dates, coconut, and vanilla tart, creating a warm and inviting nose. On the palate, it tastes rich and creamy with hints of ginger, nutmeg, toasted almonds, lemon meringue, and honeycomb. The finish is long and sweet, leaving traces of lemon zest, white chocolate, vanilla, and gentle baking spices.

Named “Nectar D’Or,” meaning “Golden Nectar” in French, this whisky truly lives up to its name. It belongs to Glenmorangie’s Extra Matured Range, alongside Quinta Ruban and Lasanta.
