This Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a remarkable 25-year-old expression, aged for a full quarter-century to achieve exceptional depth and character. Crafted by the Glenfarclas Distillery, an independent, family-owned producer founded in 1865 by J. & G. Grant, it reflects generations of dedication and tradition. The distillery is nestled in Scotland’s Speyside region, though it is sometimes referred to as a Highland malt due to its rich and full-bodied nature.
This whisky is matured mostly in Oloroso Sherry Casks, giving it a deep, rich flavor and a naturally beautiful amber color with golden highlights. Bottled at 43% ABV, it’s believed to be uncolored and possibly non-chill-filtered, maintaining its natural essence.
On the nose, it offers inviting aromas of marmalade, honey, coffee, sweet sherry, nuts, and soft oak. The palate is smooth and complex, revealing layers of fruitcake, dried fruit, hazelnut, gingerbread, and chocolate orange. The finish is long, elegant, and warming, with notes of dry oak, cocoa, and gentle spice.
Sitting proudly at the top of the Glenfarclas core range—above the 10, 12, 15, and 21-year expressions—this whisky is widely admired for its outstanding quality and remarkable value, especially for a 25-year-old single malt.
