This Glenfarclas 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a beautifully crafted spirit that reflects the heart of Speyside tradition. Although the label says “Highland,” the distillery is actually located in the Speyside region of Scotland, where it has been family-owned and independent since 1865 under J. & G. Grant. Proudly carrying the slogan “The Spirit of Independence,” Glenfarclas remains one of the few large distilleries still run by the same family.

Aged for at least 12 years, this whisky matures mainly in Oloroso Sherry Casks made from Spanish oak, which bring deep, rich flavors and a warm aroma. The distillery continues to use direct gas-fired stills, a rare and traditional method that enhances its classic character.

Bottled at 43% ABV, it usually has a natural color with no added caramel and is chill filtered for clarity. On the palate, you’ll find layers of sherry sweetness, fruitcake, honey, and warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, along with hints of dried fruits, malt, and nuts. The texture is medium-bodied, smooth, and well-balanced, often described as a true “Speyside Sherry bomb.”

It’s an excellent choice for both newcomers and seasoned whisky lovers, available in 700ml or 750ml bottles depending on the market.
