This whiskey takes its time. Every drop spends at least two decades in wood, and you can taste the patience in every sip. It starts life in classic ex-bourbon American oak, where it rests for more than 14 years. Then things get interesting. The spirit moves through four very different casks over an extended six-year finish. French Muscat and Sauternes add soft sweetness. Pedro Ximénez sherry brings depth and richness. A Barbadian rum cask gives it a fresh, fruity lift at the end. Nothing feels rushed here.
You’ll notice the care right away. The aroma opens with vanilla, peach, and apricot, followed by spun sugar, gentle florals, and raisin. On the palate, sweet vanilla and citrus lead the way. Ripe apples, buttery notes, black coffee, walnut, and a touch of ground pepper follow. The finish stays warm and long, with a final burst of fresh fruit that lingers.
Bottled at 47% ABV, non-chill filtered and without added color, this single malt keeps its natural texture and character intact. It’s released in small batches and limited numbers, reflecting a clear focus on experimentation, tradition, and thoughtful innovation.
