G4 Reposado Tequila is crafted by the famous Camarena family, led by Felipe Camarena and his sons, who represent four generations of tequila makers. It is produced at Destilería El Pandillo in Jesús María, Jalisco, Mexico, with the official NOM 1579 confirming its place of origin. The name “G4” stands for Cuatro Generaciones or “Four Generations,” honoring the family’s long tradition of tequila craftsmanship.
This Reposado Tequila is rested for about six months in used American oak barrels that once held bourbon, and some batches are even aged in old George Dickel whiskey barrels. Made from 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, the agave hearts are slow-cooked in traditional stone or brick ovens, then crushed using a unique low-speed mechanical tahona nicknamed “Igor” or “Felipenstein.”
The tequila is distilled twice in copper pot stills using a blend of 50% rainwater and 50% natural spring water, creating a smooth and balanced flavor. G4 Reposado contains no additives, allowing the natural agave and barrel character to shine. It offers notes of sweet cooked agave, vanilla, light toffee, and gentle spice. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle, it’s an exceptional choice for sipping or mixing.
