Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon OBSF Recipe (750Ml)

Description

Four Roses makes ten bourbon recipes by pairing two mash bills with five house yeasts. OBSF is one of them. It uses mash bill B, which is 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley, with the herbal F yeast.

This bottle is part of the Single Barrel Collection that launched in January 2025. Four Roses released it for its 20th anniversary. Each bottle comes from one barrel aged seven to nine years and is bottled at 100 proof.

The F yeast brings a gentle herbal side. On the nose you'll notice delicate rye, a little mint and fresh apple. The palate is lush, with apple, vanilla and cocoa up front. Clove, bright rye spice and a hint of brown sugar keep it balanced.

The finish lasts and stays sweet, with mellow spice. It's full-bodied but never heavy.

Enjoy it neat or on the rocks to taste the herbal notes. It also makes a lovely Old Fashioned. Try it with smoked brisket, aged cheddar, dark chocolate or pecan pie.
