Fonseca Bin No. 27 Reserve Port, also known as “Finest Reserve” or “Premium Reserve,” is a rich and flavorful fortified wine made by the famous Port house Fonseca. It was originally created over a century ago for the Fonseca family and first released for sale in 1972. This wine is known for its full-bodied, fruity character that reflects the classic “Fonseca style.” It has a deep ruby-red color and offers inviting aromas and flavors of blackberry, cassis, cherry, and plum, with gentle hints of spice.

Made mostly from grapes grown on Fonseca’s own estates in the Cima Corgo region of Portugal’s Douro Valley, it is carefully blended from reserve wines and aged for about four years in large oak vats before bottling. It comes ready to drink and does not require decanting, as it’s filtered to prevent sediment.

Fonseca Bin No. 27 has an alcohol content of around 20% and is available in a standard 750ml bottle. It tastes best when served slightly cool, between 16°C and 18°C (60°F–64°F). This port pairs beautifully with farmhouse cheddar, dark chocolate desserts, or berry-based treats. Once opened, it can be enjoyed for up to two months without losing its quality.
