Description

Fireball blends Canadian whisky with real cinnamon flavor and a touch of sweetness. Seagram created it in the mid-1980s as part of the Dr. McGillicuddy’s line. The Sazerac Company bought the recipe in 1989. In 2007 it took the name Fireball Cinnamon Whisky.

Its famous tagline says it all: tastes like heaven, burns like hell. Open the bottle and red-hot cinnamon candy fills the air. On the palate, sweetness comes first, then bold cinnamon heat builds fast. The finish stays hot and spicy, with a smooth, sweet whisky edge underneath.

At 33% ABV, or 66 proof, it is lighter than most whiskies. That helps explain why so many people take it as an ice-cold shot. Retailers call it America’s number one shot brand. It is also one of the top-selling whisky-related brands in the US.

Fireball has collected medals, too. The San Francisco World Spirits Competition gave it Gold in 2010. The International Review of Spirits honored it in 2009 with Silver and Best in Class. It also earned Bronze at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2007. In 2010 it added Bronze at the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition.
