Description

Far Niente Winery, founded in 1885 and beautifully restored in 1979, is one of Napa Valley’s most admired producers. This wine is mainly crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon blended with small amounts of Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc for added depth and balance. The 2021 vintage was an exceptional year marked by a mild summer and small, intensely flavored grapes thanks to dry conditions. Coming from Napa Valley, California—one of the world’s finest wine regions—this 750ml bottle showcases everything that makes the area special.

Rich, full-bodied, and well-structured, it represents a classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Each sip reveals complex layers of dark plum, red cherry, cassis, blackberry, licorice, baking spices, and cedar with a touch of toastiness from aging in French oak barrels for about 17 months. The aroma carries notes of dark berries, cherry, licorice, spring flowers, and warm spice. With an alcohol content of around 14%–14.5%, the finish is long, smooth, and elegant—often described as refined and silky.

Highly rated with 96 points from James Suckling and 94 from Jeb Dunnuck, this 2021 vintage is built to age beautifully and is best enjoyed between 2023 and 2035. It pairs perfectly with grilled steak, lamb, venison, mushrooms, or rich saucy dishes. Crafted by winemaker Nicole Marchesi.
