Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond is a 100 proof Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill in Bardstown. Many fans simply call it White Label. It follows the bonded rules to the letter. The whiskey comes from one distilling season, one distiller and one distillery. It then ages at least four years under government supervision.

Its grain recipe is mostly corn (78%), with 12% malted barley and 10% rye. The name honors Evan Williams, who opened Kentucky’s first distillery in 1783. This spirit has all the kick you expect from 100 proof, yet it goes down smooth.

It pours a bright gold. On the nose you get caramel with light vanilla, oak and malted grain. The palate brings citrus over vanilla, with a dash of black pepper. The finish is warm, long and dry.

Competition judges agree. The San Francisco World Spirits Competition awarded it Double Gold. It took Double Gold and Consumers’ Choice at the 2024 SIP Awards. The TAG Global Spirits Awards also gave it Double Gold.
