Description

Espolòn Blanco is a clear, unaged tequila crafted from 100% blue Weber agave. It is made at Destiladora San Nicolas in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The brand was created by master distiller Cirilo Oropeza. It is bottled at 40% ABV, or 80 proof.

In the glass it is crystal clear with a platinum cast. The nose opens with sweet agave, tropical fruit and lemon zest. On the palate you find a hint of pepper and a soft, light-to-medium body. The finish is clean and stylish, with vanilla bean and grilled pineapple.

The label tells a story too. It shows the revolt led by Miguel Hidalgo in 1810, which Mexico marks each year on September 16. Ramón, the brand's rooster, calls out from the art.

This award-winning tequila has won Gold at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Gold medals also came from the TAG Global Spirits Awards and from the New York International Spirits Competition. The Ascot Awards gave it Platinum.
