Description

This bourbon is crafted by Heaven Hill Distillery and is known as a Finished Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV). It begins with fully matured Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, which then goes through a second aging process in a new toasted and flash-charred oak barrel. The finishing barrel is made from oak air-dried for 18 months in partnership with the Independent Stave Company and toasted at a moderate temperature to bring out deep dark sugar flavors. This careful process creates a beautiful balance of smokiness and sweetness.

The bourbon offers a rich and complex flavor with notes of marshmallow, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, oak, and brown sugar, ending with a gentle spicy finish. Its aroma is warm and inviting with sweet and toasty scents of marshmallow, caramel, and oak.

Released in September 2020 and available in limited quantities, this double-oaked bourbon is often compared to Old Forester 1910 or Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. It’s made using the standard Elijah Craig mash bill—about 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley—and is a No Age Statement (NAS) bourbon, meaning the exact aging time isn’t listed but it’s crafted from mature, high-quality whiskey.
