This limited El Tesoro release meets a Kentucky bourbon barrel. Master Distiller Carlos Camarena takes El Tesoro Reposado, made from 100% blue Weber agave. He rests it close to six months in toasted, flash-charred Basil Hayden barrels.

You smell cooked agave, cherries, baked apple and vanilla bean. Your first sip brings cinnamon and white pepper, then crème brûlée and honey. Soft herbal notes keep it lively. The finish turns from sweet to dry and lingers.

Critics have taken notice. VinePair scored it 92 points, and the Beverage Testing Institute gave it a Silver Medal.
