EL Jimador Blanco Tequila (750Ml)

Description

El Jimador takes its name from the jimadores. These skilled harvesters cut the agave by hand with a coa. Each heart they choose comes from 100% Blue Weber agave.

The brand began at Casa Herradura in Jalisco, Mexico, in 1994. It is still made there under NOM 1119. Natural yeasts ferment the juice in open-air tanks. The spirit is then distilled twice. This Blanco, also sold as Silver, sees no barrel time before bottling.

Our 750ml bottle is 40% ABV, or 80 proof. Some export markets bottle it at 38%.

Pour a glass and the color is crystal clear. You'll smell fresh agave with crisp citrus and a herbal edge. The sip stays bright, with citrus, green herbs and a hint of spice. The finish is clean, with a light touch of white pepper.

It is a fair price for a 100% agave tequila, so it shines in mixed drinks. Shake it into a Margarita or top it with grapefruit soda for a Paloma. Ranch Water and a Tequila Sunrise work well too. You can also sip it neat or on the rocks.

Serve it with tacos, ceviche or grilled shrimp. Citrus-marinated dishes match its fresh, zesty side.
