Egan's Legacy Reserve 16 Year Vol 2 is the second in their Legacy Reserve series and showcases an exceptional single malt that has been aged in American bourbon casks for 16 years and finished in ex-Banyul barrels. With only 1000 bottles produced worldwide, this unique Irish whiskey gives connoisseurs an opportunity to add to their collection. Full of telltale notes of Irish whiskey, Egan's Legacy 16 Year is full of bright cereal, honeyed nougat, and brown sugar notes. The palate continues with cereal that's quickly followed by flavors of dark fruit such as cassis and blackberries and hints of spice that you rarely find in an Irish whiskey. Ex-Banyul barrels bring some red wine tannins to the experience and tempers the sweetness of this one of a kind whiskey. The finish ends delightfully on hints of graham cracker, lemon and milk chocolate.
