Made from a blend of roughly 50 different whiskies, it's finished in Limousin Oak Cognac casks. Not only does it elevate the spirit, but it also imparts a beautiful dark amber color. 

On the nose, Crown Royal XO Canadian Whisky opens with a warm, inviting sweetness reminiscent of vanilla, caramel, and light oak. The palate is balanced with hints of vanilla, spice, and rich dried fruit. For the finish, it is medium length with light vanilla and subtle spice notes. Overall, it's smooth and silky.

Unlike standard blends that remain solely in American oak, XO’s cognac finishing gives it a brandy‑like fruitiness and a silkier texture. It's this extra layer, that elevation, that won it a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2021 and a Silver Medal at the 2022 World Whiskies Awards.
