This XO (Extra Old) Cognac is a luxurious type of brandy made by Courvoisier, one of the best-known Cognac houses, and is produced in the famous Cognac region of France. You’ll find it bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), in a 750ml size here and 70cl elsewhere.

Crafted by blending very old grape brandies, called eaux-de-vie, the brandies are aged 11 to 25 years or more, exceeding the minimum requirement for XO, and are drawn from several Cognac crus, including the Borderies. This careful selection creates a rich flavor profile with floral notes like iris, along with hints of vanilla, nutmeg, candied orange, plum, fig, and raisin.

The taste is smooth and rounded, offering layers of orange, vanilla, crème brûlée, and delicate iris, while the finish is long, mellow, and deeply satisfying.
