Description

Corzo Silver is named for Chiapa de Corzo, a town in southern Mexico. Indigenous fighters made a last stand against the Spanish there.

The tequila itself comes from the Highlands of Jalisco. It is made from 100% Blue Weber agave and distilled three times. Before bottling, tiny air bubbles are added so the spirit can breathe.

Your first sniff is light and fresh, with pine needles, soft herbs, spearmint and a twist of citrus zest. Fennel and cucumber come through as well. It feels silky and round. Citrus and vanilla lead, with mint and fruity agave. A little pepper shows up later. The finish brings agave sweetness and cool mint.

Wine Enthusiast gave it 93 points. This smooth tequila sips well neat or chilled. It also makes a clean margarita or Paloma. Ceviche and fish tacos suit it. For a soft, herbal silver tequila, keep this one in mind.
