Description
This excellent Spanish style Brandy de Jerez is a blend of fine spirits, distilled slowly in pot stills and then aged in barrels previously used to age Sherry wine. Named in honor of the influential 15th century Cardenal Mendoza, a counselor to the Spanish king and queen, this
brandy is beautifully dark mahogany hue, yet is still transparent with glints of copper. The aroma is clean and elegant and reminiscent of the Sherry barrels it aged in. To taste, Cardenal Mendoza Brandy has a fantastically balanced smoothness that warms the palate. Flavors of raisin and prune linger on the finish. Best enjoyed straight with quality dark chocolate as an accompaniment or as a base for an elegant cocktail.
