Canadian Club Chronicles 41 Issue No. 1 Canadian Whisky, also known as “Water of Windsor,” is an ultra-aged and limited-edition release created to honor the long heritage of Canadian Club. This whisky was originally distilled and barrelled in 1977 and matured for 41 years in oak barrels, making it one of the oldest whiskies ever released by the brand when it debuted in 2018.
It is crafted primarily from corn whisky and carefully blended with small additions of cognac, rye, and sherry to add depth and complexity. The aroma opens with rich notes of vanilla, almond, and brown sugar, followed by hints of maple sweetness and ripe stone fruits. On the palate, it delivers a smooth, layered texture with flavors of caramel, dried fruit, and gentle oak supported by subtle rye spice and ginger. The finish is long, elegant, and warming, leaving lingering sweetness and refined oak character that highlight the whisky’s remarkable age and craftsmanship.
