Camarena Reposado Tequila (750Ml)

Description

Camarena Reposado is an easygoing tequila from the Camarena family of Arandas, high in the Jalisco Highlands. It is made from 100% blue Weber agave. It is distilled at Casa Camarena, the family's distillery in town.

The agave is cooked in stone ovens, shredded and distilled twice. The spirit then rests about two months in a mix of new and used American oak. That short rest is what makes it a true Tequila reposado. It softens the agave and gives a pale gold color.

Swirl your glass and you'll find sweet agave, vanilla and brown sugar, with a little oak and apple. The sip is silky and medium-bodied. Toasted agave, vanilla and caramel come through with a light spice. It ends warm, with a gentle tingle of pepper.

Tequila.net named it Best Highland Reposado in its 2011 awards. VinePair gave it 88 points.
