Bulleit 10 Year Bourbon began as Tom Bulleit’s selected reserve. A few barrels of Bulleit Bourbon were set aside to rest for a full decade. They aged in charred American white oak. The recipe is high in rye, at 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley. It’s bottled at 91.2 proof.

The nose leads with toasted oak, then caramel, vanilla and a little spice. On the palate you get spice right away, with caramel and vanilla close behind. Dried fruit adds depth in the middle. The finish is long, with a gentle smoky edge.

Brand fans will notice the extra years. The oak is bolder than in standard Bulleit, and the rye spice comes through more.

Bulleit suggests you sip it neat or on the rocks. It also makes a sturdy Old Fashioned. Pair it with grilled steak, aged cheese or dark chocolate. If you enjoy oak-forward whiskey with a spicy kick, this one is for your shelf.
