Bruichladdich Octomore 11.1 (750Ml)

Description

Octomore 11.1 is a super heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich. Its barley was malted to 139.6 PPM of peat. The grain was Scottish-grown Concerto and Propino from the 2013 harvest.

Distilled in 2014, it aged five years in first-fill American whiskey casks. It is bottled at 59.4% cask strength, with no chill filtering or added color.

You will find citrus, sea salt, sweet malt and smoke on the nose. Vanilla, grapefruit and spicy oak fill the palate. The finish is very long, with earthy ash and woodsmoke.

Sip it neat, then add a few drops of water. Try it with smoked salmon or blue cheese.
