Bacardí Añejo Cuatro is a golden rum from Puerto Rico with real age behind it. Cuatro means four in Spanish. Every rum in the blend has spent at least four years in oak under the Caribbean sun. Some parts of the blend are older still. The warm climate speeds up the work of the barrels. That gives you more depth than you might expect at this price.

Lift the glass and you get vanilla and cinnamon first. On the palate, dark honey and clove come through. Toasted oak adds a gentle dry edge that keeps the sweetness in check. The finish is smooth, with toffee and oak lingering on. At 40% ABV, it feels soft rather than fiery.
