At their Yerevan distillery, experienced cognac artisans craft brandy with local Armenian grapes and fresh water from the Katnakhbyur spring and age in barrels made with Caucasian oak wood. Ararat VSOP 10 year is named for “Akhtamar” a beautiful Armenian legend of a brave young man who risked traveling the treacherous waters of Lake Van for Princess Tamar.

This ten year old brandy is crafted from over fifteen distillates, each tasted and hand-selected. With beautiful warm amber and copper shades, Akhtamar is full-bodied and silky-smooth. Its pleasantly tart flavors balance with notes of prunes and cinnamon alongside highlights of walnut, oak, vanilla, and beeswax.
