Amador Double Barrel Chardonnay Cask Bourbon is a wheated Kentucky bourbon from Amador Whiskey Co., part of the Trinchero wine family. It is sourced from a Bardstown craft distillery, made from 65% corn, 20% wheat and 15% malted barley, then matures for three years or more in charred new oak. Finally, it spends 9 to 12 months in French oak Chardonnay barrels from Napa Valley. It is part of the small Amador whiskey range.

The nose shows brown sugar and toasted nuts over vanilla and oak. On a creamy palate, expect cinnamon sugar, honey-glazed nuts, vanilla and oak, before a light, sweet finish.

Sip it neat or build an old fashioned or Manhattan. It is a good fit for wine lovers curious about wheated bourbon.
