Description

John Dewar & Sons was part of the creation of Aberfeldy Scotch Whiskey. Aberfeldy 16 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made with from barley that was milled through the Porteus mill before being fermented and mashed in copper pot spirit stills and washbacks. It is then matured in casks that were once used to store bourbon. Aberfeldy 16 Year Old was released in 2015 and was part of the Last Great Malts series. It was matured in bourbon and sherry casks. The balance is sweet and spicy. There are aromas of cinnamon and raisin with apple, butterscotch, and caramel.

The taste on the palate has a tangy and citrus flavor of lemon and oranges with a spicy finish. The aftertaste has an oaky and fruity taste.
