1792 Sweet Wheat Bourbon is the first wheated bourbon from the Barton 1792 Distillery, and this delicious bourbon shows that their expertise extends to even new recipes. The traditional 1792 Bourbon is a "high-rye" bourbon, but the 1792 Sweet Wheat Bourbon replaces that bold rye spice with a more delicate, subtle flavor. The nose combines oaky barrel notes with vanilla and orange peel and a hint of sweetness. The palate is exceedingly smooth and gentle, with an excellent balance of sweetness and dryness. Traditional bourbon flavors of caramel and vanilla are prominent, with backing notes of pine and walnut.
