TEQUILA ME THIS

Drink a fun and tasty drink this New Year. There are great drinks to make for you and your friends when you want to try out your bartending skills; try a ‘Batanga.’ It’s made with 2 oz. El Tequileno Blanco Tequila, juice of 1 lime, and then filled with coke on top. To make it, you’ll rub a lime and dip rim in margarita salt. Add some ice cubes, add all of the ingredients and stir. For beer and sour lovers, try a ‘Beergarita.’ It’s unique and tasty. It’s made with 1 ½ oz. tequila, ½ oz. Triple Sec, 1 oz. lemon juice, 9 oz. cold craft beer, splash of lime juice, and rim salt. First thing to do is rub rim of beer mug with lemon juice and dip rim in salt. Shake all of the ingredients with ice, strain into the salt-rimmed mug, and then carefully fill with cold draft beer and enjoy. Mix wine with tequila for the ultimate drink; A ‘Bertha’ is made with 1 ¼ oz. tequila, ½ tsp. red wine, 1 ¼ tsp. sugar, and ¾ oz. fresh lemon or lime juice. Mix the ingredients in a chilled highball glass filled with ice, twist lemon peel over drinks and drop in. Garnish with a cherry at the end. It’s pretty and fun to drink.

Make a cute and romantic drink for your loved one; a ‘Besitos de Tezon’ is made with 1 ½ oz. Tequila Tezon Anejo, 1 oz. Limoncello, 1 oz. Stoli Citros, dash of Grenadine, and the juice of half a lemon. Add all of the ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a sugary gummy heart for added cuteness. For a drink that tastes like a meal, try a ‘Bloody Bull.’ It’s made with 1 oz. tequila, ½ glass tomato juice, and ½ glass of beef bouillon. Add all of the ingredients in a highball glass over ice, stir and add a squeeze of lemon and a slice of lime. A ‘Bloody Maria’ is such a fun drink to make and taste; it’s made with 1 oz. tequila, 2 oz. tomato juice, 1 dash lemon juice, 1 dash Tabasco sauce, 1 dash celery salt, 1 slice of lime, and a celery stick. Shake all of the ingredients except the lemon slice, with cracked iced, strain into a Collins glass over ice cubes, and then add the slice of lime and celery stick. Enjoy all the new possibilities.
