Whistle Pig The Boss Hog VII: Magellan's Atlantic Rye Whiskey is an expression that takes inspiration from the famous Portuguese explorer. Aged for 17 years, The Boss Hog VII goes through two rounds of finishing with rare Spanish oak staves and South American teakwood to add a unique complexity to this barrel strength proof spirit. Intensely aromatic with cinnamon, allspice and maple, The Boss Hog opens up to toasted wood notes alongside creamy vanilla, roasted almonds and just a touch of espresso. On the palate, spicy clove and sweet brandied cherries dance on the tongue as baking spice is found throughout. Darker notes of chocolate and charred oak reveal themselves towards the finish as your sip ends warm and everlasting with cinnamon and oak spice.
