Description

Rey Del Mundo Blanco is an unaged tequila from the Jalisco highlands, made under NOM 1590. It uses only mature blue Weber agave. The agave is cooked, crushed and double distilled with a copper coil.

Your first smell is fresh agave with a damp, earthy edge. Minerals and a faint floral note sit just behind it. In the mouth, cooked agave leads, softened by a little vanilla. Earthy, herbal layers fill the middle, with a light lift of citrus. The finish is medium in length, dry and nicely peppery.

It has done well in blind judging too. It earned Gold at the 2023 USA Spirits Ratings and Silver with 88 points in 2024.

Try it neat first, so you can taste that highland character. If you like tequila drinks, a Margarita or Paloma lets the agave shine. It also works in simple cocktails with soda and lime. Bring it to the table with ceviche or grilled fish.
