Made at NOM 1500 by Tequileria las Juntas, the product was nameless for many years, exisiting solely as the house brand for family members and friends. Now availalble for the first time in retailers, Codigo brings an exciting and diverse lineup of unique tequilas to a market that's long been saturated by similar products.

The Codigo extra anejo is the first ultra premium tequila to hit the market in years that actually delivers stunning quality for the luxury price. Matured for six years in French oak ex-wine casks, the extra anejo tequila has truly concentrated itself and the wine element at this point tastes like something between a port-finished bourbon and wine-finished Bruichladdich, but with spicy and sweet agave notes on the finish. It's expensive, but in comparison to the other top shelf tequila offerings we carry, it's undoubtedly the most satisfying and decadent. It's also the darkest tequila we've ever laid eyes on, yet it's free of any additives or artificial coloring.
