Bulleit Single Barrel Bourbon gives you one barrel in every bottle. The blenders choose each barrel on its own merits, so no two are quite the same. It is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 104 proof, or 52% ABV.

Each barrel starts with one of Bulleit's high-rye mash bills, which run up to 36% rye. It also uses one of the brand's signature yeasts. The spirit then rests in new, charred American white oak. That mix of recipe, yeast and barrel shapes the flavor of every release.

Pour a glass and you'll find oak and gentle spice on the nose, with caramel and a little dried fruit. The palate brings vanilla, toffee and dried fruit, lifted by peppery rye spice. The finish is long and warm, with spice and a soft touch of toffee.

Since every barrel differs, your bottle may lean a bit sweeter or a bit spicier. Sip it neat to catch the details, or add one cube of ice to open it up. It also makes a bold Old Fashioned. If you usually reach for a ready-made cocktail, this is a great bottle for mixing your own.
