Description
Arran began their first distillery in Lochranza, a village on the Isle of Arran, Scotland, nearly 30 years ago. Close to Loch na Davie, the location was ideal for a unique source of fresh water for distilling. Later, in 2019 they opened their second distillery at Lagg, a village on the southern part of the island. Here, they developed their distinct style of peated
single malt and continued to grow their scotch-making craft. Arran Single malt Barrel Reserve is an elegant no-age-statement
scotch whisky. Matured in 100 percent bourbon barrels and bottled at 43 percent, this barrel reserve encapsulates the hallmark fruity tones Arran Whisky is known for. On the nose are light notes of orchard fruits and the palate is elegant and balanced with citrus, vanilla, and apple sweetness offset with a marine brine. The finish leaves off with a light sweetness and charred oak. This versatile single malt is wonderful in a delicious cocktail, neat or over ice.
