During fall, spring, summer, or winter; join with your friends to make some delicious bubbly treats. Every season is the right season to create a tasty drink to enjoy all day. If you’re in the mood for something really sweet and delectable, have a ‘Prosecco Sangria;’ this drink was sampled by many Americans for the first time in 1964 at the New York World’s Fair. The mixture was quite the hit; it is a very popular and tasty drink to make any time. It’s made with 1 peach, 1 nectarine, 3 apricots, 5 oz. peach brandy, 1 bottle (750ml) chilled Prosecco, 1 cup peach nectar, and superfine sugar for even more added flavor. To make it, combine in a pitcher nectarine, peach, and apricots (all pitted and cut into wedges first). Stir in peach brandy, and then let that sit for an hour. Stir in the Prosecco and peach nectar, and then add the superfine sugar. This treat is best served chilled.
Have a celebration with a ‘Menning Mimosa.’ This drink is fabulous and refreshing. It’s made with 6 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice, 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons orange flavored liqueur, chilled Prosecco, and fresh mint leaf. To make it, mix together in a champagne flute orange juice, lemon juice, and liqueur. Fill with Prosecco and then garnish with mint leaf. When you want to go for a healthier cocktail, a ‘Ginger Sparkler’ is a great choice. It’d made with 2 teaspoons finely grated peeled fresh ginger, ½ cup sugar, and 1 bottle of dry sparkling wine. TO make it, you’ll set a fine-mesh sieve over a small bowl and set that aside. In a small saucepan, bowl sugar, ginger, and ¼ cup water until syrupy (this takes about 2 minutes). Pour through sieve into bowl, discarding the solids. The syrup can be store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Pour 1 tablespoon of syrup into each of 8 tall glasses, top with sparkling wine, and stir. Enjoy.
